Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, Discogs credentials), information generated by your use of the app (collection data, wantlist, activity), and standard technical information (device type, OS version, IP address).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Recordz service, sync with Discogs on your behalf, send you relevant notifications (with your consent), and for analytics to understand how the app is used. If you opt in to marketing measurement, we also use the information described below to measure which ads lead to app installs and subscriptions.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with Discogs (as required for sync), payment processors (Stripe, Apple App Store, and Google Play Billing via RevenueCat, for Pro subscriptions), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications on Android), and analytics services. If you opt in to marketing measurement, the Meta SDK sends Meta device identifiers, app installation and activation events, and technical information such as IP address and device details. RevenueCat also sends Meta subscription and purchase events, including revenue, currency, a Meta anonymous device identifier, and a hashed Recordz account identifier, to help match those events to ads. Meta may process this information under its own privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/). On iOS, this measurement additionally requires your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can use Recordz without opting in and turn marketing measurement off in Settings → Privacy. Turning it off stops future marketing measurement and clears the matching device identifiers from RevenueCat; it does not erase events already received by Meta.
4. Discogs Integration
When you connect your Discogs account, we access your collection, wantlist, and ratings via the official Discogs API. We only request the minimum permissions required. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Discogs.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required to retain it by law. While your account is active, we also store moderation records — content reports (comment_reports) and blocks (blocked_users) — tied to the reporting or blocking user ID. When you delete your account, these are deleted too: reports you filed, reports about your comments, blocks you made, and blocks other users made of you.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Children
Recordz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
