The label was started in 1996, by Murray Man, under which he has placed several artist, such as Tenna Star, Ras Tweed, Andy Williams, Rosa Carter, Claire Angel and Aisha. The label has steadily gained a great reputation thanks to the high quality of the music and production skills of Murray Man. Mellow Vibes has even had reggae veterans pass through, such as Freddie Macgregor and Sugar Minot. Mellow Vibes is open to any artists who are serious about making good reggae music.
