In 1995, Mart Gambusa founded the Dodge label to provided a forum for the local music scene. Later, the project Impulse followed, which he launched together with Sven Stauth from the baptism and promptly socred a record deal with K7 Records. The basis of his productions was the Gambusa Studio, whose co-owner is Paul Lemp († 2015 in Berlin), who wrote the score for the quite successful German movie "Sonnenallee".

DJ Mart hailed from Bochum, Germany and has been a household name in the dance floor scene for two decades. Together with his partner Bomb Boutique (aka Butterfly Potion), he played in the local underground clubs in the "Ruhr Area". They were not determined on a style. The spectrum ranged from Electro to House to Drum'n'Bass. In the course of his career he got the opportunity to serve the turntables with Goldie, Kruder & Dorfmeister and Autechre. The label got defunct in the 2010's when Mart continued as a composer for theatrical plays in Berlin and beyond.
