Good Samaritron is an independent Australian label currently based in the United Kingdom. Founded and run by Kat Martian and Chelvis Chesley of Brainbeau, the label acts as a home for their solo work and collaborations. Good Samaritron describe themselves as having “sworn a cosmic oath to the future of good music, good vibes, good times.”
Both founders have deep roots in Brisbane’s experimental and DIY electronic scenes. Brainbeau is well regarded within the city’s underground music community, having associations with the Audiopollen and, later, Reel Bad experimental movements. In addition to producing and performing, Kat frequently creates the artwork for Good Samaritron releases, drawing on a visual language shaped by outsider electronics, DIY print culture, dub, lo‑fi, and experimental collage.
