MXP is the label name used for releases by the organization Danish Music Export & Promotion.
Danish Music Export & Promotion is an initiative and organization to promote Danish music and artists outside Denmark and is run by various Danish cultural, artist and music industry organizations, supported by the Danish government.
Until 2005 MXP released series of promo compilations presenting the current musicscene in Denmark. In 2004 Danish Music Export & Promotion became Music Export Denmark and changed it's strategy away from general national promoting and focused on aiding individual artists and band to export to specific markets.
