doombient.music was founded as a vehicle to release the music by ['ramp] back in 2003. The "doombient" moniker was also introduced to distinguish the music by ['ramp] from other bands from the dark ambient music sector. "doombient" was officially trademarked in 2008 after the original line-up of ['ramp] had disbanded and is now owned exclusively by Stephen Parsick. The original "doombient.com" website is no longer active.
