DR is the official name of the Danish national broadcasting corporation since sometime in 1996.

The name of the corporation has evolved over time as follows:
- From 1925 to 1959: Den Danske Statsradiofoni
- From 1959 to 1996: Danmarks Radio
- Since 1996: DR

DR is often identifiable by its characteristic "DR" logos, typographically distinct from the logo of Danmarks Radio.

History: By 1996 the headquarters were located at Radiohuset, Copenhagen that also hosted national radio production, while television production was done at TV-Byen. In 2006-07 all activities were gradually centralized to the newly constructed headquarters DR Byen. By 2009 its concert hall DR Koncerthuset had fully replaced the old Radiohusets Koncertsal, in use since 1945.
