TSOP Records, named for the MFSB song “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia),” was the sister label of Philadelphia International Records. It was launched in 1974 as a replacement for the recently folded Gamble Records. It was originally active from 1974 to 1977 before going on hiatus. The label was relaunched in 1980 and stayed active for two years before folding for good.
