Visually identified by a unique, stylized triangle-"A" logo on its center labels, this record label was primarily created to distribute low-priced international pop, disco, and funk compilations while also pressing select regional Brazilian music and sertanejo albums.
The label's operations were entirely dependent on the financial and logistical infrastructure of the Diários Associados media conglomerate. Consequently, when the collapsed and went off the air in July 1980, the GTA manufacturing and distribution ecosystem was dismantled.
