Portuguese label founded in the 90s in Covilhã, Portugal by José Manuel Soares, owner of the record store "Contraste", radialist that had also a weekly radioshow "Filhos da Pátria" in the same station Radio Clube da Covilhã, some years before the start of "Portugal Rebelde"'s show.
For the release of second compilation the label´s name was changed to Titanica to avoid problems with a portuguese insurance company called Global.
Global was the first portuguese independent record label to release an edition in a Compact-Disc format in the portuguese market. Before "Portugal Rebelde" all the indie releases in Portugal were in vinyl or cassette.
