The Trinity-Sergius Lavra (usually the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra in church literature) is the largest male monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church with a long history. Located in the center of the city of Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region (formerly Zagorsk), on the Konchura River. It has stavropegial status. The largest center of educational and publishing activities of the Russian Orthodox Church.
