Short series of releases showcasing a selection of the WOMAD foundation's preferred artists from across many continents. Each release came with a book with the artist's bios in them.

The planned introductory compilation series would be as follows:
- General
- Africa
- Europe
- Asia 1 & 2
- Americas
- Far East
- Pacific

The final three were stalled and the label WOMAD Records opted instead to issue full albums by artists from those continents.
