After 1945, the former "Tempo boss" Otto Stahmann was no longer allowed to produce in his own factory in Babelsberg (for political reasons and because he only had a British license).

He switched to a company called Kybarth, which had been making contract pressing in Ehrenfriedersdorf since the 1920s, and had his Tempo Elite plates pressed there. After a short time he leased the factory and continued to produce until his production license was revoked there too. Then he was fed up with the East, took a few dies and moved to Munich. There he started all over again with his Tempo records and an order number series 3500.
