Populär was the musical brand of the production of the company Richter GmbH & Co KG - later renamed to Richter Schallplattengesellschaft mbH, which also produced and distributed mosaic- and mah-jongg-games, secret pharmaceutics, cosmetics, chocolate, alcohol, mechanical musical instruments and collector trade cards.
