Formed by members of and in late 2017, the label was created with a view to helping local artists in north east England to release their albums. This quickly escalated in the label acquiring rights to re-release classic albums on CD by the likes of , , and .

Wherever possible, artwork for the album releases have been upgraded to give the presentation a better quality than when first released.

In September 2019, the label progressed onto vinyl releases, staring with Anger Burning Presents... Noise Annoys 1 7" (CC7-001).

In 2020 they then teamed up with Serial Bowl Records (Sunderland, UK) and Boss Tuneage to co-release several vinyl 7" and 12", including the split 7" with & (CC7-002) and the three-way live album 'Unity' featuring , and (CC12-001).

In November 2024, Paul (Decontrol) left the label to start up .
