Bibi Flash, real name Brigitte Gasté, born September 9, 1956, is a French singer from the 1980s who had a career spanning around ten years.
Starting with a cover of Henri Salvador's song "Le lion est mort ce soir" in 1981, she achieved success in 1983 with "Histoire d'un soir," a rap song similar to "Chacun fait ce qui lui plait" from Chagrin d'amour.
After several singles and auditioning for Laurent Boutonnat's "Maman a tort" (who ultimately chose Mylène Farmer), in 1987, she finally released her first album, Imposture, produced with Dominique Nicolas (of the band Indochine) and Romano Musumarra (composer for Jeanne Mas and Elsa). The first highly sophisticated music video was well-received by the industry; it also provided the opportunity for a new platinum-blonde punk look. Bibi Flash changes her musical and clothing style with each of her songs. Starting in 1987, she began writing her own lyrics. She released her last album in 1989.
