Othmane Baly (Arabic: عثمان بالي, Tifinagh: ⵄⴻⵜⵎⴰⵏ ⴱⴰⵍⵉ), also spelled Baly Othmani, Othmane Bali or Athmane Bali, whose real name was Mebarek Athmany, was an Algerian Tuareg singer born in May 1953 in Djanet, Algeria, and died on June 17, 2005, in a car accident following the flooding of a river in his native region of Djanet. After his death, his son, Nabil Bali, continued his legacy and followed in his father's footsteps.
