Európa Kiadó is a Hungarian underground and alternative rock band, originally formed in 1981 in Budapest. Emerging from the remnants of another influential band, URH, Európa Kiadó became one of the most important acts in Hungary's 1980s countercultural music scene.

Led by Jenő Menyhárt, the band was known for its politically and socially charged lyrics, blending punk, new wave, and experimental rock elements. Their music often reflected the frustration and disillusionment of youth living under the late socialist regime in Hungary.

Despite facing censorship and limited mainstream exposure during the Communist era, Európa Kiadó gained a cult following through live performances, bootleg recordings, and later, official releases. Their debut studio album, Popzene ("Pop Music"), came out in 1987, featuring a raw, poetic, and emotionally intense sound. Later albums, such as Szavazz rám ("Vote for Me") and Annak is kell ("They Need It Too"), solidified their reputation.

The band went through several breakups and reunions over the decades, but their influence on Hungarian alternative music remains significant. Európa Kiadó is still active, performing live and occasionally releasing new material, with Jenő Menyhárt continuing as the central creative force.
