Brazilian, born in Bulgaria, Nikolay Genov studied at Sofia National Music Academy, where he obtained his Bachelor and Masters Degrees. He was principal horn at the Bulgarian Radio Orchestra and was a member at the World Youth Symphony. In 2011, joined the Sao Paulo State Orchestra (OSESP). He is a professor at Cantareira College.
