Originally a member of the surrealistic pop band , of minimal-wave group and together with poet / as duo Ónýta Bókasafnið, later went on to co-found The Sugarcubes and the Smekkleysa label.
Was briefly married to Björk (with whom they have a son, Sindri Eldon) and is the brother of Ari Eldon.
