About

Raised in Bristol, Jack Wallis’ earliest musical influences were shaped by dubstep, punk, and UK techno, shown by his early releases on Darwin’s label SPE:C. Following his move to Berlin in 2017, he and The Lady Machine established Unterwegs, an imprint dedicated to releasing music from like-minded talents, including Decka's pressurized, raw, and driving techno productions.

Since then, he has released on top-tier labels such as Semantica, Tar Hallow, KEY Vinyl, AMTK+ and Token. Pushing the boundaries of modern-day techno, his music has earned consistent recognition, with multiple sold-out records and a growing portfolio of remix commissions for esteemed artists such as Dimi Angelis.

He now runs a second label with artist Roseen ‘Frameworks’ releasing their debut album "Imaginary Places" in 2023. Rooted in a deep commitment to techno's original essence, Frameworks has continued to expand with releases by Ray Kajioka, Alexander Kowalski, and remix appearances from Don Williams, DISX3, and Border One. The label is approaching its 10th release, due in early 2027.

With regular appearances at the Berlin institutions Berghain and Tresor, his fervent love for analog in the studio translates also behind the decks. DJ’ing only with vinyl since the beginning of his career, Decka’s sets highlight both his clear-cut technique, his extensive knowledge and true passion for techno.
