Rocksteady group formed in late 60's by , Keith Mitchell and Owen Laing.
In about 1968 joined the group and then Bop left.
Disbanded in early 70's after a bad financial period even though their songs became No. 1 in England and advised them to go to there.

then joined the , sometimes perceived as being the same group as The Beltones, but they are different groups.
At one point The Fantels considered renaming themselves The Beltones, but never did.
