Lizard was a band formed by Dan Ritcher, an Austrian vocalist living in Spain, and a guitarist/keyboardist who went by the name Greg Sider, but his real name was Gregorio (Goyo) Esteban from Madrid, owner of the record label Locomotive Music. They even managed to get in to open for Van Halen and The Pretenders at their concert in Madrid. For the recording of the album and for their live performances, they surrounded themselves with guest musicians. They define their music as follows: "powerful, colorful, intense, in which current hard-rock is combined with touches of ethnic music."
