The Bolschewistische Kurkapelle Schwarz-Rot was founded in East Berlin in 1986 as the successor to the song theater group . In the summer of 2010, the group split into two sections. One continues to operate as Bolschewistische Kurkapelle Schwarz-Rot - the other section has been performing under the name since March 2012.
