Steve Palmer is the founding and only member of Mooch, which started in spring 1992. 2017 saw the shutting down of the band after a quarter of a century and 28 albums.
2022 saw the release of The Best of Mooch (1992-2017) and the period 2023 - 2025 saw the issue of some rediscovered material from the 1990s: 3 Cassettes, Water Birth Music, Psych Light and Return to Starhenge; along with a compilation: File Under Miscellaneous.
