American classical composer (b. 1969, New York, NY). Per Bloland's compositions range from solo pieces to works for large orchestra, and incorporate video, dance, and custom built electronics. He has received awards and recognition from organizations including IRCAM, SEAMUS/ASCAP, Digital Art Awards of Tokyo, the Salvatore Martirano Competition, and ISCM. He is currently (2020) an Assistant Professor of Technology and Music Theory at Miami University, Ohio, and recently completed a Musical Research Residency at IRCAM in Paris.
