Marz, a pseudonym for founder, lead vocalist, and producer Marvin Ennis, was first signed with Capitol/EMI/Liberty Records for the debut recording "Make it Right." The group was active since the mid 1980s. There are various releases with producer Lionel Job (Keith Sweat, Starpoint, Joe Public, Tyrese) and co-producer/songwriter/arranger/lead singer/keyboardist Marvin Ennis. Although the group went on to record "Boyfriend Now" on Prism Records (Biz Markie) and ultimately signed with Manhattan Records under Jerry Griffith, the group never gained chart popularity.
