Siegfried Zielinski (born January 1, 1951 in Butzbach) is a German media theorist. He is Michel Foucault Professor at the European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Professor of Media Archaeology and Variantology. Until 2016 he was director of the Vilém Flusser Archive at the Berlin University of the Arts, and from 2016 to March 2018 he was rector of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.
