Giant Sand spin-off that was meant to be a series of releases featuring the three members of Giant Sand with guest artists. However, after the release in 1997 of featuring Lisa Germano, Joey and John's other side project, Calexico, begun the same year, took all of their attention and the OP8 project was shelved.
