Born Micheline Maher and native of Montréal (Canada), in the parish of St-Enfant-Jésus, she is the eldest of a family of 5 children. Her passion for dance and music led her to leave early the convent where she was a resident in Laval-Des-Rapides. She was only 13 when she began to participate in amateur competitions in cabarets. She began her singing career at the age of 16 at the Rialto, where she met (who would become her husband) and , with whom she formed the trio "".
She is totally captivated by American music and performs with passion the songs of , and . She also likes the repertoires of and . During the entire period she performed with "" in the Montreal area, she recorded 8 albums and as many singles. She left "" to form the band "Miche et ses musiciens". In 1986, the group won the trophy for best country dance orchestra awarded at the Gala Cabaret. However, she began a solo career and gave her first live show on July 31, 1987 at the Vieux Ranch. In 1989, she received the trophy for best country singer of the year, awarded by .
She will own the Vieux Ranch on St-Laurent Street in Montreal until August 1991, when she learns that she has throat cancer. She passed away November, 17, 1991, in Montreal at the age of 51, leaving us in the memory of a jovial, generous, and lively woman.
