Performing name of American singer/songwriter born Regina Marie Cuttita, April 22, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York. Went by Regina Richards during her performing career, but billed as "Regina."

Formed her own band Regina Richards and Red Hot in 1977, which released two singles and an album on A&M Records. She was more interested in being a songwriter, and penned a song called Baby Love with Stephen Bray, who wrote songs for Madonna. Madonna declined the song and Regina recorded it in 1985, released under the name Regina, and it hit the top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1986.
